ESUT Extends Registration Deadline for Students 2025/2026

The management of Enugu State University of Science and Technology has approved an extension for student verification and registration. Both fresh students and returning ones now have up to Friday, 16 January 2026 to finish the process. The decision came after a report submitted by the Taskforce on Registration of Students. The report showed that, as of 19 December 2025, only about half of newly admitted students had completed their registration. For continuing students, the number was even lower, with less than ten percent done. That gap raised concern, and action followed. A memo released by the Registrar, Ambrose G.

Ugwu, explained the reason for the extension. He said the extra time was given so more students can sort out their documents and complete registration without rushing. At the same time, he made it clear that students who miss the new deadline may face penalties decided by the school management. The exact steps were not listed, but the warning was clear enough.

The Registrar also instructed Deans, Heads of Departments, Faculty Officers, ICT faculty reps, and admission and registration staff to make sure the directive is followed across all units. Everyone involved is expected to play their part, no excuses really.

While sharing the notice, the university management also sent goodwill messages to students, wishing them a Merry Christmas. Still, students are advised to focus on registration first, celebrations can wait a bit.
