Emmanuel Iren, Femi Lazarus @ CCIC Camp Meeting tell Christians to focus on their souls, embrace Kingdom Strategy

The duo of Apostles Emmanuel Item and Femi Lazarus  have charged Christians to prioritise the wellbeing of their souls  while also urging them to embrace kingdom impact.

They made the appeal at the 2025 camp meeting of Christ Chapel International Churches which started on Tuesday October 21 to end on October 26 at the church’s headquarters in Lagos.

In his message Apostle Iren founder of Celebration Church urged Christians to pay more attention to their souls rather than pursuing mundane things.

Following the theme of the meeting which is : ‘it’s time to pursue, overtake and recover all’, he said the way to overtake and recover is to get to the root of the problem and not spend time dealing with the symptoms.

He observed that the lack of good health, money or any other challenges that Christians face are just symptoms of a greater problem.

Rather than pursue health and financial breakthrough, he counselled that Christians should be more concerned about their soul and feed it more with Gods word and spend quality time with God in prayer.

Making allusion to the Bible, he said Jesus made us know that the whole world put together is not worth the soul of a man.

“So the wise thing to do is to feed your soul. Give attention to it and nurture it. If your soul is in a good state every other thing will fall in place.”

He explained that “the soul of man is like a currency that can be traded in the  realm  of the spirit. That is why Jesus said what shall a man give in exchange for his soul. If you don’t feed your soul everything around you will fail apart”

Also preaching at the event, Apostle Lazarus said many Christians are not living out their potential because they don’t understand what it means to carry the light of God.

He argued that many are failing because they don’t have kingdom mindset.

“There is a kingdom culture that many Christians are completely oblivious of. They carry on as just normal people without realising that they are supposed to influence their environment positively.’

He lamented the preponderance of believers without a commensurate impact on the society.

“Many think the reason for their existence  is to marry, have children and live a good life. They see marriage as an achievement. But that is not what God has called us to. He has called us to a life of impact. We are supposed to influence our environment positively.” He declared.

While noting that God is the source of innovations and inspiration he urged believers to position themselves to received from God so they could be inventors and carriers of life changing ideas that can transform the world. ”

He also noted that the Church has not been strategic enough in its dealings with the larger world. “We don’t position ourselves. We are not strategic. We don’t even understand the game of numbers which the people of other faiths understand so well.”  He observed

Lazarus who is the founder of Light Nation Global noted many Christians still don’t understand God’s instruction for them  to have dominion. ” In Canada and some countries in Europe people no longer want to have children . The population is shrinking.

“It makes it easy for the other faith to dominate because they keep procreating. But God commands that we should multiply. The seed of the righteous should dominate the earth.’ he stated
