Eddie Kingston & more added to ROH Final Battle pre-show

Tony Khan has been known to engage on late night matchmaking frenzies. He didn’t disappoint on the eve of ROH Final Battle. The bookerman put together a handful of contests for the pre-show.

First up is Eddie Kingston. In preparation for the AEW world title fight against Samoa Joe at Winter is Coming, the Mad King will test himself against a wrestling beast in Josh Woods. Nobody is quite like Samoan Joseph in the ring, but the former Pure champion has the size and skills to bully Kingston with physicality. This could be a sneaky good match if given enough time.

Ace Austin will make his ROH debut against Lee Johnson. Ace is a three-time X-Division champion in TNA, so perhaps he could springboard a win here into TV title contention, currently held by the injured Nick Wayne, or even higher to the world title picture in ROH.
