Five thousand people, including 540 widows, have received free welfare support from Paul Enenche, the senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, and his wife, Mrs. Becky Enenche, in the Federal Capital Territory.

According to a statement shared with PUNCH Online on Saturday, the church’s Welfare Department coordinated the programme, which took place on Friday.

During the event, Enenche emphasized that creating meaning in life is more important than merely earning a living, and making an impact holds greater value than generating income.

He said, “In Jesus, you see God and man, perfect divinity. He said by the death of Christ is the demonstration of unconditional love” (John 3;16, Romans 5;5-8). Someone should be able to learn that today, as our lives were bad, yet He sent His only begotten son to die for us.”

Also speaking, a member of the welfare department of the church, Osinachi Egboga, said, “Our father, Dr Paul Enenche, and his amiable wife, our mother, Dr Mrs Becky Enenche, are both totally committed to the welfare of the people. This is like a heartbeat for them, and they have done this over the years.”

Josephine Ogazi, the Coordinator of the Women of Destiny Group, stated, “Since 2011, he has been ministering to widows every Christmas and not only that, he also helps them with school fees and empowerment.”

Augustina Nwazue, a beneficiary, expressed her gratitude for the gesture and praised God for what they received.

She said, “I am very, very happy, look at how everybody is carrying their gifts up and down in this season, as they have blessed us. May God bless them tremendously as well, and all the widows are praying for them always”.

Another beneficiary, Gift Ele Abah, said, “We appreciate our daddy and mummy because every time they care for us, they have not let us down.”

Food and other necessities for daily life were distributed to the beneficiaries.
