Vincent Bosire, a medic working at the Kisii Teaching Referral Hospital (KTRH) who was found dead with his alleged lover sent a cryptic message to his family.

According to Bosire’s family, he made a last chilling phone call to his mother before his body was discovered at his apartment.

Later, neighbours in Nyanchwa, Kisii County grew suspicious of a foul smell emanating from the rental house.

When the police broke down the door on Friday, November 29, Bosire and Angellah Moraa Ongeri, the alleged lover, were lying lifeless next to each other, their hands intertwined.

“He called the mom at around 7 saying that he had been admitted to the hospital and was in the ICU. He told us that if anything happens, or when we receive a phone call, we should know where he is,” said a relative.

Details of the Death of the Two

The room where the two were discovered had syringes, both used and unused, scattered across the floor, although the exact cause of their deaths remains unclear.

Angellah, who had recently returned from the United States, reportedly had another layer to her story. According to Bosire’s elder brother, there were rumours that she was married to someone abroad.

Bosire’s family is struggling to make sense of the tragedy. His call, though cryptic, now feels like a cry for help.

The police have launched an investigation to uncover the events that led to their untimely deaths.

However, questions continue to be raised over the nature of their relationship, the circumstances of their deaths, and Angellah’s rumoured marriage abroad.

Life and Education of the Doctor

Described by his family as quiet and composed, Vincent Bosire was the last born of his family.

Additionally, Vincent topped the Nyanza 2013 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations, scoring an A from Nyambaria boys.

The news comes days after a medical intern at Thika Level 5 hospital Dr Francis Njeru, committed suicide after working for only four months.

Njeru was reportedly subjected to exhausting 36-hour shifts without pay during his time at the hospital.
