Dele Momodu Warns Against The Risk Of Faceless Leaders In Protests

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Momodu, has stated that there is nothing risker for a nation than faceless people or a mob leading a protest.

Ireporteronline reports that there have been reports of a planned youth-led nationwide protest slated for August 1 to 15  over the rising cost of living and economic hardship.

In a post via X on Wednesday, Momodu said that with 46 years of experience in protest since his day at the University of Ife it is risky for faceless people to lead a protest.

The veteran journalist noted that while every citizen is entitled to protest, the government has the right to protect the lives and properties of the people.

He said, “I have 46 years experience in protests, since 1978 at the University of Ife. There’s nothing riskier for a nation than faceless people or a mob leading protests. It is the right of everyone to protest but not the right of anyone to cause mayhem… And government has the right to protect lives and properties.”

Lives Of Many Minsters Totally Depend On Tinubu, They Cannot Tell Him The Truth

Meanwhile, Dele Momodu has claimed that many ministers and those in the presidential villa are afraid of telling President Bola Ahmed Tinubu the truth about the challenges regarding his administration.

Ireporteronline reports that Momodu, who recently wrote an open letter to President Tinubu expressing his displeasure at the current state of the nation, made this known during an interview on Channels TV.

The veteran journalist stated that the Tinubu administration is failing because someone tried to transfer the Lagos template to Abuja.

Speaking further, Momodu claimed that the current administration is all about using appointments as compensation to friends who may not be competent for the job given to them.
