Curfew on Binduri and its environs lifted

The Interior Ministry has announced that the curfew in Binduri, Upper East Region, has been lifted.

This curfew was enacted following the escalation of the Bawku conflict.

However, based on the recommendations of the Upper East Regional Security Council and through an executive instrument, the curfew has now been rescinded.

The government has taken this opportunity to encourage Chiefs, Opinion Leaders, Youth, and the residents of the area to practice restraint amidst the challenges they face and to employ non-violent methods to direct their efforts towards fostering peace in the region.
