One of my Executive said to me, “I need connection to be successful". And that have brought me to this saying, "A bu bish I get connection I for dey on top!". Let us correct that falsehood together.

It is normally said, that who you know is who connects you to success! Like who you know na him matter for you to make am for life. Executive. That is a good one. But Didi-Omah know no man, I only know Adonay. You must know God for you to succeed, not man. The scripture said, those that know their God shall do exploits — not those that have someone at the top. Only knowing God truly put you at the top.

I know no man, because today Augustine is the manager, in the next time, he is out of office. Today, Seun is the rich man that wants to help Chinaza, before next week, Seun is dead. Man have limited power, limited energy, limited resources, limited time on earth. So why should I hope in man? They that put their hope in man are in vain, the knowledge of the truth taught me this. He that put his hope in man is in vain.

Invest in relationship, build connections and pray for big breaks. Invest in relationship with others, people in all fields — the more connected you are, the more open opportunities you access. But it all does not rely on them. We all need people to get higher, but we must work on one thing: commitment. Executive. You can have Aliko Dangote in your circle, and still be unsuccessful — why? But you have Aliko Dangote, because you lack commitment in your field.

(Proverbs 22 vs. 29) See a man that is diligent — committed in his business? He shall sit with kings and not stand with low men. That is to say, when you invest your time, energy and resources to be committed to what you are doing, and building connections but not relying on those connections; you achieve success. Commitment not connection is what you need to be successful.

I don't have any rich person to help me, I have no sponsor. Executive. You have God; so therefore put committment to your work. I, Didi-Omah, I don't rely on anyone, just God alone — the rest is by my own. He that offer value to the rich, become valuable to the rich — because the rich are human like us, having challenges too. Executive. He that offer value to the rich, become valuable to the rich. Commitment not connection is what you need to be successful.

Commitment is the driving energy to results. The degree that you are not proud of the job you are doing, you won't be successful; and the degree to which you are successful will determine how proud you are of your career. Executive. The career you are in is not the problem — your commitment is the problem!

I do say this, and I will again: no job is a poor job — it just requires your commitment for you to be successful in it. If you want to be great in sales or your field — fix yourself — you are the problem. At this moment, your connections won't save you success. So therefore at this moment devote yourself to learning everything there more to know about sales or your field. What you know have not guaranteed you success? Go for more insights, go and know more.

You invest in relationship plus your commitment in your business: these get you more than success. To stand head and shoulders above others in your field and to no longer be compared with them — embrace commitment. If you want to be successful at anything you have to commit. If I want to have a successful love, romantic life with my partner — I must be committed to her. Executive.

You have to be fully committed to him/her — same to me. It's good advice to quit looking for new partners. You take what you have and make everything you can out of it. Can you find someone prettier, smarter, beautiful, and happier? Probably, but that is not committing. Executive. Committing means you are in all the way, you are done looking, and you make the person you have committed to the prettiest, the most beautiful, the smartest, and the happiest.

I would rather commit to the wrong thing or person all the way — than commit to the right thing or person only halfway. So commitment is need to have a successful career, marriage, relationship and effective results. Commit and be done with it! So commit to your career, commit to keep learning, commit to your product or service; commit to your family, to your partner; commit to your employees. Executive.

Commit to learning everything you can and watch how much green your career will produce for you — how green these will produce for you. Be hundred percent committed! Commit — to devote oneself completely to something. To be great at anything, you must devote yourself completely — that's the undivided truth. Commit right now and watch what happens. Executive. Commitment is like magic, and nothing great happen until the committment is there!
