Coffee Break: Hyaluronic Happikiss Lipstick Balm

I recently(ish) got a bunch of lipsticks from Sephora and Nordstrom, and this is one of the keepers — Charlotte Tilbury's Hyaluronic Happikiss Lipstick Balm in Pillowtalk.

They describe the color as “iconic nudey-pink,” and I have to say I really agree with that. I will admit, years ago I read that older women should prefer pink lipsticks — and as I've aged I now always think about that when choosing a lipstick. As someone who came of age in the 90s, I think I can also say with some confidence that beigy-brown nudes just kind of make me look dead, with a number of mauves being a close call there, too. I'm cool-toned and pale, and the Pillowtalk color suits me nicely.

In terms of formula, it is very balm-y to me — it feels less sticky than a Tarte Maracuja, but much wetter than a Merit or MAC. It also has some shine to it, more so than Clinique Black Honey.
