Premium automakers may be backpedaling a little bit on their electric plans, but others are happy to step in and take charge. Chinese company BYD is reportedly preparing a high-performance EV for its luxury Denza brand, ideally to take on the Porsche 911 in terms of performance and prestige. Inspired by the stunning (and stunningly named) Fang Cheng Bao Speed 9 concept from this year's Auto China show in Beijing, the forthcoming Denza sportster might even make its way to Europe to challenge the hegemony on its home turf.
