Chelsea star Cole Palmer sidelined until November with groin injury

Chelsea forward Cole Palmer is set to remain out of action until November as he continues to recover from a recurring groin injury, according to BBC Sport.

The 23-year-old has struggled with the problem since pre-season, which was cut short to just two weeks following his standout performance in Chelsea’s Club World Cup triumph in July.

The persistent issue has restricted him to only four appearances so far this season.

Palmer was forced off after 21 minutes during Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on September 20, prompting manager Enzo Maresca to confirm the club would give the England international an extended rest to ensure full recovery.

As a result, Palmer is expected to miss upcoming fixtures against Nottingham Forest, Ajax, Sunderland, and Wolves. He was also left out of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the friendly against Wales and the World Cup qualifier against Latvia.
