Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has been linked with the vacant managerial position at Olympique Marseille.

Marseille are searching for a new head coach following the departure of Roberto De Zerbi by mutual consent on Tuesday.

According to journalist Lassana Camara, Chelle is among the names being considered for the role. Another African coach, Habib Beye, is also on the shortlist.

Beye, a Senegalese tactician, was recently dismissed by French club Stade Rennais.

Chelle’s stock has risen significantly after guiding Nigeria to a third-place finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 48-year-old remains under contract with Nigeria until January 2027.
