Boniface has been in impressive form for Bayer Leverkusen this season, and he continued with his brilliant form at Wolfsburg

Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface registered an assist for Bayer Leverkusen in their 2-1 victory over Wolfsburg at the Volkswagen Arena, Soccernet reports.

Coach Xabi Alonso fixed Boniface in the starting lineup when Bayer Leverkusen travelled to Wolfsburg for their Bundesliga fixture. Die Werkself have been in impeccable season this season, winning seven of their eight top-flight games.

Boniface has also been outstanding, supplying seven goals and two assists in seven games, forming a major component of the attack. He continued in that form, supplying the assist for Jeremie Frimpong’s opener.

Unfortunately for Bayer Leverkusen, their lead was only temporary as Maxence Lacroix scored the equaliser for Wolfsburg in the 41st minute.

Nonetheless, Die Werkself’s superior quality eventually paid off in the 62nd minute as Alex Grimaldo scored the second in the 62nd minute.

Boniface had a very good performance, registering four goal attempts, three successful dribbles, and 17 accurate passes. He saw out the entire 90 minutes as his side just snatched the 2-1 victory.

Next up for Bayer Leverkusen is their Europa League game against Qarabag on Thursday. Boniface would be looking to return to the scoresheet next time.
