BOI Launches MyBOI Portal to Simplify Access to Business Financing

The Bank of Industry (BOI) has launched a new digital financing platform, MyBOI, aimed at simplifying access to its loan facilities, reducing credit access barriers and accelerating the processing of financing applications for businesses across Nigeria.

The new platform, which went live at 12 noon on Friday, October 2, 2026, enables existing and prospective BOI customers to access the bank’s conventional lending facilities as well as its Non-Interest Banking products through web and mobile channels.

According to a statement by the BOI Divisional Head, Public Relations, Theodora Amechi, the platform allows customers to register, complete onboarding and assessment processes, submit financing applications and supporting documents, and monitor the progress of their applications without necessarily visiting a BOI office.

The launch represents part of the development finance institution’s ongoing digital transformation programme aimed at making financing more accessible and improving the overall experience of businesses seeking financial support.

Speaking ahead of the launch, BOI Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Olasupo Olusi, said MyBOI was designed to go beyond the introduction of another digital platform, describing it as a fundamental change in the way businesses interact with the bank.

Olusi said the platform was developed with an understanding that delays in accessing finance could have direct economic consequences for businesses, particularly enterprises that require timely funding to maintain operations, expand production or take advantage of emerging opportunities.

“MyBOI is more than a technology platform; it represents a transformation in how businesses experience the Bank of Industry.

“Time has an economic cost for businesses. By simplifying access, improving information flow and reducing avoidable delays, we want financing to reach businesses when it can make the greatest difference.

“Ultimately, this is about better customer experience and greater development impact,” he said.

BOI said MyBOI was primarily designed as a self-service platform, allowing customers to undertake major stages of the financing process remotely and thereby reducing the need for physical visits to its offices.

To facilitate the transition to the new system, the bank has also provided Frequently Asked Questions and User Manuals on the portal to guide applicants through registration, onboarding, application submission and other aspects of the financing process.

However, the bank cautioned that the speed of processing would depend substantially on the completeness and accuracy of information and documents provided by applicants, as well as their compliance with applicable eligibility requirements.

It therefore urged prospective beneficiaries to provide accurate and complete information when submitting their applications to prevent avoidable delays in the assessment and processing stages.

The bank also issued a cybersecurity warning to customers, urging them to access MyBOI exclusively through official BOI channels.

According to the institution, customers should avoid links circulated through unverified sources and must not disclose their passwords, One-Time Passwords (OTPs) or other login credentials to third parties.

BOI said customers requiring additional assistance after consulting the FAQs and User Manuals could contact its official customer service channels, while Customer Support Desks would also be available at its state offices nationwide for applicants who require guided or in-person assistance.

The bank further clarified that customers whose applications had already been submitted before the launch of MyBOI should continue with the existing process and should not resubmit their applications through the new platform.

To ensure a smooth transition, BOI said it had established a post-GoLive Hyper-care arrangement and a MyBOI Situation Room to monitor the platform’s performance and cybersecurity, as well as customer experience and the flow of financing applications.

The arrangement, according to the bank, would enable it to identify and resolve emerging technical or customer-related issues promptly following the deployment of the platform.

The launch comes as businesses continue to seek easier and more efficient channels for accessing development finance to support expansion, modernisation, job creation and other productive activities.

BOI, Nigeria’s development finance institution, is mandated to provide financial and business support to enterprises, particularly within the industrial sector.

Its financing interventions are designed to support the establishment, expansion, diversification, modernisation and rehabilitation of businesses, with emphasis on areas such as import substitution, employment generation, poverty reduction and economic diversification.

Through MyBOI, the bank is seeking to deepen the use of digital technology in delivering these financing interventions while making its services more accessible to businesses irrespective of their location across Nigeria.
