Big Daddy Sugar Welcomes APM Governorship Candidate Bimbo Adekanbi to Akinyele/Lagelu Today

Mogaji Olatoye Olajide, popularly known as Big Daddy Sugar and Chairman of the Olatoye Sugar Memorial Foundation (OSMF), is set to host and officially welcome the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) in Oyo State, Hon. Bimbo Adekanbi, to Akinyele and Lagelu Local Government Areas today, July 2, 2026.

The reception is scheduled to hold at the Eledua Multipurpose Hall, where party members, community leaders, youths, women, and supporters from both local government areas are expected to gather to receive the APM standard-bearer

According to the organisers, the visit is aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots engagement and providing residents with an opportunity to interact directly with Adekanbi as he shares his vision for the development of Oyo State.

Big Daddy Sugar said the event reflects the party’s commitment to connecting with the people and fostering meaningful discussions on governance, development, youth empowerment, job creation, and infrastructure.

He described Adekanbi as a leader with the capacity and experience to provide purposeful leadership for Oyo State, urging residents of Akinyele and Lagelu to come out in large numbers to welcome the APM governorship candidate and participate in the interactive session.

Adekanbi is also expected to use the occasion to outline his plans for inclusive governance and reaffirm his commitment to consulting with communities across the state as part of his campaign ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The gathering is expected to attract party stakeholders, traditional leaders, and supporters, as the APM continues its consultations and grassroots mobilisation across Oyo State.
