Bandits abduct traditional ruler, his pregnant daughter, son and 18 others in Taraba

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a traditional ruler, Alhaji Umaru Abubakar Nyala, his pregnant daughter, son and 18 others at Pupule town in Yorro Local Government Area of Taraba State.  It was gathered that the gunmen, numbering over 20, invaded the palace of the Chief of Kwaji at Pupule around 2:am on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.  It was gathered that the gunmen, after abducting the second class chief and his family members, also abducted other people inside the town.  A source in the community said the gunmen also abducted the orderly of the monarch.   21 members of our community in Pupule, Yorro local govt were kidnapped this morning. They also kidnapped a 2nd class chief of our area, HRH Alhaji Umaru Abubakar Nyal, his son, and pregnant daughter as well as the orderly, the source narrated.  Another source told Daily Trust that; We heard the sound of heavy gunshots inside the palace and we ran away from our houses, only to hear in the morning that our chief and his family members and other people inside the town were kidnapped, a resident told Daily Trust. Spokesperson of the state Police Command, SP Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the abduction of the second-class chief and his family members and other people in the town. "It is confirmed that the chief of Kwaji chiefdom and his family members were abducted, Abdullahi stated.   The post Bandits abduct traditional ruler, his pregnant daughter, son and 18 others in Taraba appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
