The House of Representatives on Wednesday called for the ban of police officers from consuming alcohol.

The lawmakers said the men in uniform should also be banned from other hard substances capable of inhibiting their sense of reasoning.

This followed the adoption of a motion of urgent public importance moved by Babajide Obanikoro.

The House expressed concern that a policeman from the same station had earlier killed Buraimoh.
