Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur are preparing fresh moves to sign Ademola Lookman from Atalanta in the January transfer window.

Both clubs made attempts to land the Nigeria international during the summer, but the race for his signature now appears to be led by Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray.

Galatasaray have reportedly offered Lookman a contract worth €9 million per year ahead of the winter market. The 28-year-old is also said to be open to teaming up with his international colleague Victor Osimhen at RAMS Park.

Lookman had pushed for a move to Atalanta’s Serie A rivals Inter Milan during the summer, but a deal never materialised.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Atalanta’s hierarchy are hopeful the winger will respond positively to new manager Raffaele Palladino. However, if his current form does not improve, the club could consider selling him in January.

The Bergamo side are also reportedly willing to reduce their original €50 million valuation in order to facilitate a sale.
