Asisat Oshoala seals permanent move to Al-Hilal

Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has completed a permanent transfer to Saudi Women’s Premier League giants Al-Hilal.

The 30-year-old joins from National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) outfit Bay FC, signing a two-year contract with the Riyadh-based side.

Oshoala had only linked up with Bay FC in February 2024 after leaving Barcelona Femeni, where she won multiple league and Champions League titles.

Bay FC Sporting Director, Matt Potter, paid glowing tribute to the forward’s influence at the club both on and off the pitch.

“Asisat has been an incredibly important part of Bay FC history, not only with her impact on the pitch but also through the energy, professionalism, and kindness she brought every day,” Potter said.

“She is a world-class player and an even better person, and we are grateful for everything she contributed to our club in its first season. We wish her nothing but success as she takes this next step in her career with Al-Hilal.”

Oshoala scored seven goals in 38 appearances during her time with Bay FC.
