Arokodare Rescues Wolves in 2–2 Draw Against Brentford

Tolu Arokodare made a decisive impact off the bench as Wolverhampton Wanderers fought back to secure a 2–2 draw against Brentford.

Brentford took the lead in the 22nd minute through Michael Kayode. A sweeping cross from Keane Lewis-Potter found Kayode in the box, and he powered a header into the net.

Fifteen minutes later, the hosts doubled their advantage. Goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher launched a long ball that was expertly controlled by Dango Ouattara.

He beat his marker and squared it for Igor Thiago, who calmly tapped into an empty net to make it 2–0.

Wolves responded just before halftime. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde surged forward into Brentford’s half and set up Adam Armstrong, who fired past Kelleher to reduce the deficit.

Arokodare was introduced in the 74th minute, replacing Bellegarde, and made an immediate impact.

Just three minutes later, he equalized, meeting a pinpoint delivery from João Gomes at the far post and guiding the ball into the net.

The Nigerian striker nearly completed a remarkable turnaround five minutes later, but his powerful effort crashed against the crossbar.

Arokodare’s recent form has been a bright spot for Wolves, with the forward registering two goal contributions in his last two Premier League matches.

Despite the spirited comeback, Wolves remain bottom of the table with 17 points, sitting 12 points adrift of safety. They will be hoping Arokodare can maintain his momentum when they face West Ham United on Friday, April 10.
