Army Troops Neutralize Boko Haram Terrorists, Destroy Hideouts in Bula Daloye, Recover Rifles

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have recorded another significant success in the ongoing fight against Boko Haram, neutralizing several terrorists and destroying their hideouts during a major offensive in the Bula Daloye cluster of Borno State.

According to reports obtained by Zagazola, the operation was launched at about 1700 hours on 18 November 2025 by personnel of the 21 Special Armoured Battalion, supported by volunteer forces. The troops reached their initial target area, but the terrorists reportedly fled upon sighting the advancing forces.

Undeterred, the soldiers pushed deeper into the cluster, sweeping a three-kilometre radius where they detected extensive insurgent activity across multiple locations. A firefight ensued as the troops engaged the terrorists, neutralizing an unspecified number of them while several others escaped into the surrounding bush. All makeshift structures used as hideouts or operational bases were subsequently destroyed.

During the operation, a military vehicle struck an improvised explosive device (IED), injuring two members of the hybrid force. They were immediately stabilised by on-site medical personnel. No fatalities were recorded among the troops.

The clearance mission yielded a substantial cache of recovered items, including five AK-47 rifles, six magazines, 67 rounds of 7.62x39mm ammunition, two motorcycles, one Dane gun, and one bicycle. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team also recovered and safely detonated four additional IEDs in the area.

Military authorities say the successful offensive has disrupted terrorist activities around Bula Daloye and reaffirmed the army’s commitment to dismantling remaining insurgent enclaves across Borno State.
