APC Chairman Dumps Party

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Pantami Ward, Gombe Local Government Area of Gombe State, Bala Ngalda, and the party’s Legal Adviser in the ward, Babangida Gololo, have dumped the party and moved to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The two APC officials resigned from their positions and announced their withdrawal from the ruling party in separate letters dated July 27, 2026, which were sent to the APC leadership in Pantami Ward.

Ngalda, who served as the ward chairman, confirmed his resignation from the position and his decision to leave the APC.

He said the move followed consultations with his family and asked the party to accept his decision.

He thanked APC leaders at the local government, state and national levels for giving him the opportunity to serve, while also appreciating the Gombe State Government for its support during his time in office.

The former ward chairman said he would continue to respect the party despite ending his membership and wished the APC success in its future activities.

Gololo also resigned as the APC Legal Adviser in Pantami Ward and ended his membership of the party. He said his decision was reached after discussions with his family.

He appreciated the APC leadership and the Gombe State Government for the opportunity to serve and the support he received while holding the position.

Although the former executives did not reveal specific reasons behind their exit, both Ngalda and Gololo have already joined the PDP.

Their movement to the opposition party has changed the political situation in Pantami Ward, which remains an important political area in Gombe Local Government Area.
