“Parables of Jesus” angpows from ChezHemdi

These eye-catching “Where’s Wally”-style angpows from ChezHemdi have delighted recipients in previous years with “Miracles of Jesus” and “Life of Jesus” iterations. This year’s design is “Parables of Jesus” and the packets come in red and lavender.

“The focus of these angpows is not just on who Jesus is, but on what He teaches us through the 40 parables He told and how we’re invited to live,” said founder Hemdi Umanee. “The Parables of Jesus are for those who want to live out His teachings — to love, forgive, and walk as He showed us.”

“Our hope for these angpows is that they become more than just something to give and receive, that they point to Jesus, spark curiosity about Him, and open up conversations. May these angpows gently remind us of what truly matters — a love that forgives, welcomes, gives generously, and sees people the way God does.”

This design can also be enjoyed in Chez Hemdi’s posters (A4 and A3 sizes) which can be displayed, and even their “Finding Jesus” T-shirts (sizes S to L) which are bound to invite questions this Chinese New Year.

The Parables of Jesus angpows come in packs of 8 for S$10.
The Parables of Jesus posters are priced at S$25 for A4 and S$30 for A3.
The Parables of Jesus T-shirt is priced at S$45.

The Beatitudes angpows from Rey’s Little Loft

When Rey’s Little Loft launched their faith-based angpows featuring Bible blessings last year, they were met with great response. Encouraged, the store has decided to make this a yearly offering.

This year’s angpows are based on the Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-12), encouraging those giving and those receiving to reflect on God’s values and remember true blessings are found in Him.

The six designs employ a witty and thoughtful approach, blending Biblical truths into a treasured tradition. One example: 心净蒙福 (A pure heart brings blessings) which adapts from Matthew 5:8 – “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”

The Beatitudes angpows are sold in sets of 18 (3 of each design) for S$14 and 36 (6 of each design) for S$26. They measure 9 x 9 cm. Click here to order.
