American politics today are, to be astoundingly generous, contentious. Yet, despite seemingly deep divides, both major parties seem to be on the same page about at least one thing: AM radio. Yes, the thing that has almost unanimous support from Republicans and Democrats is the radio band that has long been a favorite of talk radio shows, and more specifically, the desire to keep the feature in new cars. To do this, U.S. legislators have been working on passing a law to do just that, and it has just made some progress.
