AEW’s final PPV of the year is Worlds End on December 27, 2025. The card is shaping up with two weeks until show time. Samoa Joe has his hands full in a three-way, Kris Statlander isn’t scared of a powerhouse fight, and the Continental Classic tournament will crown the winner.

The Worlds End lineup currently includes:

  • AEW World Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Hangman Page vs. Swerve Strickland
  • AEW Women’s World Championship: Kris Statlander (c) vs. Jamie Hayter
  • Continental Classic semifinal: Blue League #1 vs. Gold League #2
  • Continental Classic semifinal: Gold League #2 vs. Blue League #2
  • Continental Classic final: TBD vs. TBD for the AEW Continental Championship

The AEW bookerman determined that Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland both have a case to challenge Samoa Joe for the world title. Hangman was screwed by Hook to lose the gold to Joe. Swerve had a hard-fought win over Josh Alexander to show he’s in peak fighting spirit after his return from injury.

Kris Statlander and Jamie Hayter worked together to pound down the Sisters of Sin. After the tag team victory, Hayter made her intentions known that she is coming for the top prize. Statlander isn’t backing down.

The Continental Classic tournament will conclude at the PPV with the semifinals and finals. Leaders are emerging after three weeks of competition. Konosuke Takeshita and Claudio Castagnoli stand atop the Blue League with 7 points each. Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, and “Speedball” Mike Bailey are at the top of the Gold League with 6 points apiece. There are a lot of matches left to wrestle.

Let’s look at the other champions in AEW to get a feel how the PPV card could fill out.

  • AEW World Tag Team Championship: FTR (c)
  • AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship: Babes of Wrath (c)
  • AEW National Championship: Ricochet (c)
  • TNT Championship: Mark Briscoe (c)
  • TBS Championship: Mercedes Moné (c)

FTR has a tag team title defense against the Bang Bang Gang at Holiday Bash. Perhaps the feud continues to the PPV. The Babes of Wrath are fresh as champions, and their first challengers will likely come from the 8-woman tag bout on Holiday Bash. It’s too soon for the Timeless Love Bombs to have a rematch. Mercedes Moné’s star power might be better served to defend the TBS Championship. That points to Megan Bayne & Marina Shafir to possibly get the shot.

The other singles titles don’t have any obvious challengers at the moment.
