AEW is in Detroit for two straight live television broadcasts (and streaming simulcasts) this week, so it figures that they’d set-up and announce a few things for the May 8 Collision on the May 7 Dynamite.

First, Stokely “Big Stoke” Hathaway and his guys FTR crashed the scene to rekindle their issues with the announce desk... and make a match in their budding rivalry with former ally Daniel Garcia. In between menacing Tony Schiavone and sending a warning to Nigel McGuinness, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler challenged “Danny” to face them in singles action on Thursday. Which member of the Top Guys will he get? He’ll have to show up to find out!

Later, Alicia Atout was trying to get a word with Willow Nightingale about her continued issues with Death Riders when Kris Statlander showed up. Stat’s been trying to win back Nightingale’s friendship after turning on her last year around this time. Willow understands that, but isn’t ready to go there yet. Where she was willing to go was into the ring for their first one-on-one encounter since last year at All Out.

Those matches will be joined by two others announced on Dynamite for Collision:

• Willow Nightingale vs. Kris Statlander

• Daniel Garcia vs. either Dax Harwood or Cash Wheeler

• Anthony Bowens vs. Lee Johnson

• Speedball Mike Bailey vs. Dralistico

Sound like good reasons to check out this week’s special Thursday episode of Collision on TBS?
