Adewale Ibrahim College of Health Science and Technology Holds 11th Convocation, Promises Jobs and Scholarships for Best Graduands

The Adewale Ibrahim College of Health Science and Technology, Buari, Kwara State, on Tuesday held its 11th Convocation Ceremony with pomp and celebration at the FOMWAN Hall, Fate Road, Ilorin.

The event, attended by dignitaries, management, staff, students, families, and well-wishers, marked a significant milestone in the institution’s history as it celebrated over 600 graduands who successfully completed their academic programs.

Delivering his opening speech, the Provost, Ibrahim Mukhtar O. Afonja (RN), expressed gratitude to God and highlighted the institution’s remarkable journey over the past 13 years. He noted that Adewale Ibrahim College of Health Science and Technology has been ranked among the top six Colleges of Health Technology in Nigeria and has produced over 3,000 graduates who are making notable contributions across the health sector.

“This year stands out as truly remarkable. Our university approval process is already 95% complete, and we are set to take off very soon,” the Provost announced, drawing loud applause from the audience.

In recognition of academic excellence, the management announced special incentives for outstanding students:

The Best HND graduating student was promised automatic employment in the institution. The Best ND graduating student was awarded a full scholarship to continue at HND level, including provision of free handouts and learning materials.

The convocation also featured recognition of pioneer students such as Mrs. Mary Adeyanju, who was specially presented to the podium by the management for applause.

The event was filled with excitement and reflection as parents, guardians, and community leaders joined in celebrating the graduands, while the management reaffirmed its commitment to promoting excellence in health education and capacity building.

The 11th convocation underscored the institution’s steady growth and its vision to evolve into a full-fledged university in the near future.
