Abu Dhabi-founded ePointZero has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of US-based Traverse Midstream Partners for $2.25 billion, gaining strategic stakes in major natural gas pipeline infrastructure connecting key American shale production regions to demand markets across North America.

ABU DHABI: In a bold move that underscores the Gulf’s deepening footprint in North American energy infrastructure, Abu Dhabi-founded investment company ePointZero has signed an agreement to acquire 100 per cent of US-based Traverse Midstream Partners for $2.25 billion.

The deal, announced by E Point Zero Holding RSC LTD, a subsidiary of Two Point Zero Group PJSC, gives the Abu Dhabi firm ownership of a portfolio of high-quality non-operated midstream assets that sit at the heart of America’s natural gas supply chain.

Traverse Midstream Partners holds strategic minority stakes in two significant US energy infrastructure assets. The first is Rover Pipeline, a large-scale interstate natural gas pipeline providing critical capacity from the prolific Utica and Marcellus Shale production areas to key demand markets across the Upper Midwest, the US Gulf Coast, and Eastern Canada. The second is Ohio River System, a recently constructed dry natural gas header system designed to gather production from core Utica and the emerging Ohio Marcellus areas, enhancing regional connectivity and flexibility across key energy corridors.

Together, these assets connect some of North America’s most productive gas-producing regions to downstream consumers and export infrastructure, making them strategically valuable in an era of rising global demand for reliable energy supply.

For ePointZero, the acquisition is a natural extension of its investment mandate. The company, which deploys capital into energy solutions, specialised infrastructure, and strategic assets, has built a portfolio specifically designed to support the accelerating demand for electrification, digitalisation, and energy resilience. Adding Traverse’s midstream assets to that portfolio strengthens its position as a serious player in the global energy transition conversation.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals, with ePointZero currently undertaking the necessary procedures to complete the deal.
