What special bowl do you need to make a 7 Layer Salad?

Technically, you do not need a special bowl. You can just layer the ingredients in any bowl that you have. The problem there is that you cannot visually see the layers of the salad. So it’s recommended that you use a glass bowl to layer the salad ingredients. If you want the bowl that is pictured, then you can purchase a glass trifle bowl.

What I Love About this Recipe:

  1. I love all of the delicious layers in this salad. And there’s room for creativity with substituting some of your favorite things. For example, think of using corn, olives or avocado in a 7 layer salad. There are endless opportunities.
  2. It’s a very pretty salad to display at a party.
  3. I love the crunch of using iceberg lettuce, but sometimes I change things up and use chopped green leaf lettuce instead.
