6th Mentorship and Volunteerism Excellence Summit and Awards 2025: Official Nominees Unveiled

Organizers of the Mentorship and Volunteerism Excellence Awards (MVE Awards) have released the full list of nominees for the 2025 edition, marking another milestone in recognizing trailblazers who champion mentorship and volunteerism across Ghana and the African continent.

Now in its sixth year, the MVE Awards highlight individuals, groups, and organizations whose efforts demonstrate exceptional commitment to community upliftment and positive social change. This year’s summit and ceremony will be held under the theme “Reimagining Mentorship and Volunteerism in the Digital Era: Technology, Transforming Practices, and Connecting Communities.” The theme emphasizes the growing role of digital innovation in expanding access, strengthening mentorship frameworks, and enabling stronger connections within communities.

The awards will celebrate individuals and institutions making significant contributions to youth development and community empowerment. Honourees were selected for their dedication to service, leadership, and their impact on advancing mentorship and volunteerism at local, national, and continental levels.

The announcement builds on the momentum of the National Mentoring Day celebration held on July 18, 2025. The event showcased the Impact Series—a collaborative initiative featuring ICS Africa, Studentpreneur Africa Network, GhanaThink Foundation, Blossom Academy, Girls’ Education Initiative of Ghana, and the National Youth Authority. Collectively, these partners engaged more than 900 participants through mentorship sessions, skills training, and inspirational engagements. The effort underscored a shared national commitment to inclusive youth development.

This year’s activities also support a long-term goal: mentoring one million youth and startups by 2030. Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, the initiative aims to empower young Ghanaians with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. Organizers say technology, strategic partnerships, and community-driven programs will be central to sustaining the initiative’s impact.

The 2025 MVE Awards build on a tradition of celebrating outstanding contributions to social development. Each nominee represents excellence in service, innovation, and leadership.

The event is scheduled for November 15, 2025, at the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre for Excellence in ICT in Accra.

Stakeholders, partners, and the general public are invited to attend an evening dedicated to celebrating the transformative power of mentorship and volunteerism in shaping a more inclusive and empowered society.
