43-Year-Old Teacher Pass Away After Undergoing Liposuction

A 43-year-old teacher, Regina Brumley Kerr, has sadly died after undergoing cosmetic surgery at a private clinic in Costa Rica.

Reports say Regina developed complications following the procedure and was rushed to an emergency care unit on January 22, 2026. She had reportedly undergone a tummy tuck, liposuction on her arms, and a fat transfer.

Despite efforts by medical staff, Regina passed away the following day at Hospital México in San José, the Costa Rican capital.

Her death marks the third reported fatality in the city within one week linked to plastic surgery, raising fresh concerns around cosmetic procedures in the area.

Before her passing, Regina was known for her work in education. She taught at the Siquirres Bilingual Experimental School and the Padre Roberto Evans Saunders Technical College, where she was described as dedicated to her students and profession.

As of now, the exact cause of her death has not been officially confirmed.
