Car launches rarely go as successfully as the first-generation Telluride did for Kia. The Telluride proved a critical success, sweeping just about every major award when it launched for the 2020 model year. Sales success followed. The Telluride earned the internal nickname “The Selluride.” And despite it being an outgoing model year, Kia has sold more than 100,000 of them through October in 2025.
