2027: APC Targets 27m Votes as Support Groups Launch Nationwide Grassroots Campaign for Tinubu’s Re-Election

The All Support Groups Network (ASGN) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in collaboration with The Progressive Institute (TPI-Abuja), has launched an ambitious nationwide grassroots mobilisation campaign aimed at securing 27 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

The campaign, unveiled at a press conference and book pre-launch event in Abuja, seeks to rally support among key grassroots constituencies, including farmers, tricycle operators, miners, cooperatives and other community-based groups, as part of efforts to consolidate backing for the President’s second-term bid.

Addressing journalists, the National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of ASGN, Alhaji Mukhtar Bala, said the initiative is designed to deepen public engagement with the achievements of the Tinubu administration under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to him, the campaign will extend beyond major cities into rural communities, markets, farms and neighbourhoods across the country.

“Our mission is to reach every village, every market, every farm and every street to secure the 27 million mandates needed to keep Nigeria on the path of progress,” Bala declared.

He explained that the mobilisation drive is being implemented in partnership with strategic organisations representing critical sectors of the Nigerian economy.

Among the groups participating in the campaign are the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN), the Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN), the Sugarcane Farmers and Producers Association of Nigeria (SUFAPAN), the Gold Miners, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria, and the Cooperative Federation of Nigeria.

Bala described the organisations as vital partners whose members constitute the backbone of Nigeria’s agricultural production, transportation network and grassroots economy.

He said the collaboration would strengthen efforts to promote the administration’s policies while expanding support among ordinary Nigerians.

According to him, the campaign is also intended to showcase the accomplishments recorded by the Tinubu administration over the past three years.

As part of the event, ASGN announced the pre-launch of a book documenting the achievements of President Tinubu’s administration, describing it as a historical record of the government’s milestones and a tool for public enlightenment.

Bala maintained that the administration had made significant progress in infrastructure development, economic stabilisation, agricultural reforms and the expansion of social intervention programmes.

“From the massive infrastructural revolution to the stabilisation of our economy and the expansion of social safety nets, there is visible evidence of a Nigeria that is steadily rising,” he said.

The mobilisation marks one of the earliest organised grassroots campaigns ahead of the 2027 general elections, signalling the APC’s determination to consolidate support across diverse sectors of society as political activities gradually gather momentum.

The campaign is expected to intensify in the coming months with community engagements, advocacy programmes and outreach initiatives across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
