Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has sparked outrage after sharing a video exposing the deplorable hotel conditions where the Nigerian team is lodged ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier playoff against Gabon.

About ten Super Eagles players have already arrived in Rabat, Morocco, for the crucial clash set for Thursday, November 13. A win will secure Nigeria a spot in the final playoff against either Cameroon or DR Congo.

Fans react to the disgraceful lodging condition

In the muted footage posted by Iwobi on social media, the hotel’s poor state was laid bare, showing an unkempt courtyard with clothes hanging around and visible signs of neglect.

The video quickly went viral, with fans and social media users venting frustration over the Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) handling of the national team’s welfare.
