The North Central APC has instituted litigation against the National Chairman of the party, AbdulahiGanduje,e to give way for their zone to take the mantle of the party. The two groups CONCERNED NORTH CENTRAL APC STAKEHOLDERS and NORTH CENTRAL APC FORUM have cried wolve about the refusal of their party to occupy the National Chairmanship seat, calling it a breach of the 2022 agreement of the national convention that saw the emergence of Abdullahi Adamu as the National Chairman, let’s take a look at their core demands.

In a letter dated April 30, 2024, addressed to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, the Concerned North Central APC Stakeholders called for the revival of the party’s zoning arrangement, with the chairmanship position allocated to the zone.

Through their legal representative, Joshua Oka Obono Obla Esq., Etsu filed an originating summons before an FCT high court on Friday, contending that Ganduje’s continuous leadership of the party went against the stipulations of Article 7(vii) and (ix) of the APC Constitution and the agreement reached at the 2022 National Convention in Abuja.

They are asking the court to make an order setting aside the appointment of Ganduje by the APC as the National Chairman of the APC on August 3, 2023, on the ground that the APC “failed, refused, or neglected to comply with the procedure laid down by Article 31.5 of the APC Constitution.

Similarly, the North Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum, in a suit filed on Monday before a federal high court in Abuja by their counsel, Ayuba Abdul Esq., is challenging the breach of the party’s constitution by the nomination of Ganduje to replace ex-chairman Abdullahi Adamu in 2023.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Governor Gandunje were named as defendants in the suit.
