With social media becoming one of the key tools in modern society, politicians in Kenya have turned to digital platforms to engage with supporters.

For many years, politicians in the country relied on engaging with supporters on the ground, but with the rise of social media, this has become easier day by day. While a huge following does not necessarily translate to votes, it has been a tool that has made some politicians famous and allows them to share day-to-day activities with supporters.

From those eyeing the presidential seat to governors, senators, and MPs, social media has indeed been a game changer, allowing them to reach millions with a single post.

Times Digital Kenya takes a look at 12 of Kenya’s politicians who command a huge following across the major social media platforms.
