12 Belts Moné gets another AEW World title shot, a surprising tag partner, and put through her own cake

After adding two belts to her collection over the weekend to not only break Ultimo Dragon’s record, but add to her own one, Mercedes Moné arrived to the Oct. 22 AEW Dynamite in style…

Not long after her arrival, AEW Women’s World champion Kris Statlander officially accepted 12 Belts Moné‘s challenge for Full Gear. It looks like only Stat’s belt will be on the line in the third singles match between the two.

Despite the World champ’s well wishes, the TBS one’s celebration was off from the start. Renee Paquette’s introduction was good, but more than one CEO showed up at the end of it. While Ultimo Moné made her way down the ramp between her “belt boys”, Mini Moné popped up in the ring (which meant Mercedes sometimes-rival, sometimes-wanna-be-tag partner Harley Cameron had to be under the table).

That set the champ-champ-champ-champ-champ-champ-champ-champ-champ-champ-champ-champ off, and she unleashed on the ungrateful “marks” in the audience, and Cameron. (Regular size) Moné put Harley’s puppet into the celebration cake… then a black-clad camera tech put Mercedes’ face in the cake. Of course, when the assailant took off their hoodie it was Statlander, who put 12 Belts Moné through cake and table!

But wait! There’s more!

In a backstage interview with Alicia Atout, a still-icing-covered Moné was approached by her old rival, Ring of Honor Women’s champ Athena. The Forever champ wanted to propose a partnership for the upcoming tournament for the AEW Women’s Tag titles. Ultimo Moné liked that as a way to get lucky belt #13.
