1-of-3 Bugatti EB112 Owned By Businessman Pastor Expected To Fetch $2.4 Million At Auction

Bugatti EB112 expected to fetch between. $1.8m-$2.4m during RM Sotheby’s Monaco auction on April 25th 2026.

First unveiled as a prototype in March 1993, the EB 112 sedan never made it to production after went bankrupt in 1995.

Just three prototypes were ever built, two of which were completed in 1998, including this example with 388-km on the odometer. 

This EB112 was completed for Monegasque businessman, Gildo Pallanca Pastor, after purchasing assets from Bugatti Automobile.

A rare Giorgetto Giugiaro-designed Bugatti EB112 ultra-luxury 4-door sedan is expected to fetch between €1,500,000 – €2,000,000 EUR (approx. $1.8m-$2.4m) when it goes under the hammer during RM Sotheby’s Monaco auction on Saturday, 25 April 2026.

Offered by only its second owner from new, the EB112 was completed for Monegasque businessman, Gildo Pallanca Pastor, after purchasing assets from Bugatti Automobili following its bankruptcy in 2005. Pastor retained it for his personal use until 2015.

First unveiled as a prototype in March 1993 at the Geneva Motor Show, the EB 112 was a full-size saloon version of the EB 110 sports car. But the EB 112 never made it to production after Bugatti Automobili S.p.A. went bankrupt two years after the unveiling in 1995.

Just three Bugatti EB 112 prototypes were ever built, two of which were completed in 1998, including this example on sale with 388 kilometers (approx. 241 miles) on the odometer and the original Concept finished in red, which returned to now Volkswagen Group-owned Italdesign.

Each of these EB 112 was powered by a Volkswagen-designed 6.0-liter V-12 making 450 hp — enough to push this luxury sedan from 0-62 mph in a claimed 4.3 seconds, and a claimed top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).

Speaking on the EB112 during the the 30th anniversary of its unveiling in 2023, Giorgetto Giuliaro of Italdesign, said :

“The Bugatti EB112 boasted a number of nostalgic styling features referencing the famous models of the legendary French brand from the late Thirties but presented in a car with innovative mechanicals,” said Giugiaro.

“The EB112, in many respects, was a dream car and a forerunner to what we today know as high-performance fastback models. It flawlessly combined design with technological and engineering features that were majorly ahead of its time.”
