Zamafara State Set To Wed 200 Orphans

The Zamfara State Zakkat and Endowment Board has concluded all necessary arrangements for the wedding of two hundred orphans in the state.  This was contained in a statement issued by the board’s spokesman, Comrade Jamilu Sani Tsafe, in Gusau, the state capital. According to the statement, the Executive Secretary of the board, Malam Habibu Balarabe, said the group wedding ceremony will be held on Monday, November 23, 2025, at the board’s premises in Gusau. “The board has already screened and selected all the beneficiaries that will receive the gesture,” he added.  This is not the first time that Zamafar has bene in the news for sponsoring mass weddings.  In 2017, the State sponsored mass weddings for widows and divorcees. Also, in 2015, the state set aside N40m to sponsor mass weddings for orphans, widows, and divorcees, sparking dividied reactions from Nigerians at the time.
