Young Bucks mock Tony Khan, who is wearing a neck brace and ‘questionable’ for the NFL Draft

Last night’s (April 24) episode of Dynamite ended with a hot angle where AEW President Tony Khan was laid out by Jack Perry and the Young Bucks via the Tony Khan Driver, which is the move formerly known as the Meltzer Driver. The segment stood out because Khan never previously took bumps as part of a physical wrestling angle in AEW.

Matthew and Nicholas Jackson added insult to injury by mocking Khan’s typical pro-AEW posts on Twitter / X after Dynamite went off the air:

The Khan family owns the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, where Tony leads its data anlytics in the front office. The NFL Draft begins tonight, and Khan is typically part of the team’s draft day decisions. However, his attack on AEW Dynamite actually received coverage on the NFL’s web site, with Digital Content Editor Grant Gordon writing that Khan’s “status for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2024 NFL Draft obligations could be questionable.” It should be noted that the article does not pretend like the attack was legitimate, and discusses it as being part of a scripted pro wrestling show.

Meanwhile, Fightful Select indicates that Khan was wearing a neck brace after Dynamite went off the air. He was on set for the Parking Lot Brawl between Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor, which was being taped for this Saturday’s episode of Rampage. This could be a sign that Khan intends to sell his injuries in a similar manner at the NFL Draft.
