She later joined the Kenya Institute of Management in 2015. Youla’s main job was to translate lectures into Kenyan sign language. To further her passion for sign language interpretation, she joined the University of Nairobi, where she enrolled in a certificate course. She became more enlightened on the field, not knowing that her services would get high demand in the future.

Youla’s journey with Citizen TV

After a few years of furthering her knowledge, Youla Nzale was interviewed by Citizen TV in 2018. However, she initially joined the Royal Media TV station as a freelance sign language interpreter.
During her earlier days at Citizen TV, she wasn’t famous among Kenyans. This as sign language interpretation in Kenya was unheard of. In 2019, everything turned around.
