X3M Ideas, a leading Lagos-based creative agency, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Lagos State government in providing high-quality education accessible to all learners through its latest initiative, X3M Tech. This ambitious program aims to equip Nigerian students, predominantly from less privileged backgrounds, with essential foundational tech training.

A presentation ceremony for X3M Tech was held today at Muritala Ajadi Animashaun Community Senior Grammar School in Surulere, Lagos, marking a significant milestone in X3M Ideas’ 12-year tradition of supporting public schools in Lagos State. This initiative not only provides students with crucial technological skills but also strengthens community ties across the state.

Steve Babaeko, Group Chief Executive Officer and Chief Creative Officer of X3M Ideas, emphasised the importance of the initiative, stating, “We believe the future is tech-enabled. The objective of this program aligns with our vision of a tech-driven future. By equipping young Nigerians with essential digital skills, we are empowering the next generation with vital technological skills that will enable them to thrive in our rapidly evolving digital worldwhile also contributing to the Lagos State Government’s digital transformation agenda.

Michael Ladejebi, the Principal of Muritala Ajadi Animashaun Community Senior Grammar School, expressed his gratitude for the initiative, saying, “This partnership is invaluable for our students,” he said. “The skills they acquire through this program will not only enhance their education but also prepare them for future opportunities in a rapidly changing world.”

The Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Jamiu Alli-Balogun, commended X3M Ideas for its contributions, stating, “X3M Ideas has consistently demonstrated its strong partnership with the Lagos State Government through its unwavering support for our educational system and the student body as a whole. We are excited about the future and look forward to collaborating on more innovative initiatives that will benefit our students and enhance their learning experiences.”

In its commitment to continuously expand its CSR efforts, X3M Ideas is ready to branch out into different areas of education, in addition to creating an enabling learning environment and facilities for students. This holistic approach to educational support sets a powerful example for other private bodies, encouraging them to give back to society and support the government in improving the education sector.

The X3M Tech program benefits 41 students, with the top 10 performers receiving state-of-the-art laptops equipped with software to facilitate continued learning and skill development. The curriculum focuses on essential areas such as web development, product design, and creative writing, preparing students for the demands of the digital age.

As the program unfolds, it is expected to serve as a model for private sector involvement in education, potentially inspiring similar initiatives across the country. The success of X3M Tech could have far-reaching implications for Nigeria’s tech industry and economic development, positioning the nation’s youth at the forefront of the digital revolution.

By bridging the digital divide and providing access to cutting-edge skills, X3M Ideas is playing a significant role in shaping the future workforce of Nigeria. This initiative not only empowers individual students but also contributes to the overall growth and development of Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.
