WWE still advertising Jacob Fatu for Smackdown match despite injury report

Jacob Fatu is scheduled to compete Friday night on SmackDown, according to General Manager Nick Aldis.

In a show preview posted on X, Aldis confirmed Fatu will face Drew McIntyre. However, a report Thursday from BodySlam.net claimed that Fatu recently suffered a non-wrestling injury that could sideline him through 2026. If the report is accurate, WWE may run an angle to write him off.

Aldis also announced that Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will address his loss to Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel. Aldis hinted that Rhodes might respond to Rollins’ faction, The Vision, turning on him during Raw.

Also on the card, Zaria and Sol Ruca will challenge Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
