WWE staff caught aiding Jade Cargill in SmackDown attack on Naomi

A troubling video has surfaced showing a WWE production team member assisting Jade Cargill in blindsiding Naomi.

After Naomi’s victory over B-Fab last Friday, a disturbing fan-shot video surfaced showing the moments leading up to her surprise ambush by Jade Cargill on SmackDown.

Naomi, who was also jumped by Cargill before her match, showed her resilience after putting B-fab down. She grabbed a microphone and proceeded to call out Cargill. But unbeknownst to her, Cargill was already stationed at ringside.

Dressed in black and hiding among WWE’s production team, who were also dressed in black, Cargill lay in wait by the timekeeper’s area. In the video, Cargill is caught communicating with a WWE staffer, plotting the right time to attack. As soon as Naomi spoke, asking “Where you at?” Cargill received the green light to strike.

Luckily for Cargill, security was dispatched before Naomi could recover and put a whoopin’ on her. Nick Aldis, the SmackDown General Manager, appeared next and booked them for a match at WrestleMania.

Since coming to WWE near the end of 2023, Cargill has cozied up to WWE management and made nice with Naomi’s former friend, Bianca Belair. In doing so, Cargill drove a wedge between the two ladies, causing Naomi to snap. Last fall, Naomi secretly attacked Cargill in a parking lot in an attempt to drive her out of WWE.

Unfortunately for Naomi, Cargill returned with a vengeance at Elimination Chamber. There, Cargill surprised her assailant just as the women’s Chamber match was about to begin. Caught in a storm, Naomi was no match for Cargill, causing Naomi to be removed from the match.

Since then, Naomi and Belair have had a falling out over the situation. Meanwhile, Cargill and Naomi have taken every chance they can to get at each other. However, one must question WWE’s role in helping to facilitate Naomi’s destruction.

Perhaps Aldis will address this controversial matter this coming Friday on SmackDown. As the show’s GM, Aldis holds significant authority. It will be interesting to see what action, if any, Aldis will take against Cargill. Then again, his recent confrontation with Randy Orton may give him a convenient excuse to turn a blind eye to Naomi’s plight.

That same night, Kevin Owens revealed that he had a serious neck injury and would be unable to face Orton at WrestleMania. Aldis then informed Orton that he no longer had a match at the “Show of Shows.” Upset, Orton blasted him with an RKO.

It was the second time since Orton returned to WWE from a back injury that he took such measures against the SmackDown GM.
