Why Joe Mettle has refused to collaborate with secular artists

Award-winning Ghanaian gospel artist Joe Mettle recently shared his views on collaborating with secular artists during an interview on Hitz 103.9 FM.

Responding to a fan’s question about why he hasn’t teamed up with rapper Sarkodie, who expressed interest in a collaboration, Mettle explained that he and Sarkodie have discussed the idea and mutually understood each other’s positions.

Joe Mettle further clarified that he prefers not to open the door to working with secular artists, stating that such decisions are guided by spiritual principles. He mentioned, ‘When the spirit allows you to do certain things, it has its reasons. But until then, by principle, I avoid it. I have many friends, and if I do one collaboration, I’d have to do it for everyone else’ he shared.
