What is Background App Refresh on iPhone?

The Background App Refresh feature allows content in the app to stay up to date, even when you’re not actively using it. For example, your iPhone’s mail app always remains up to date, even when you’re not actively using it or running in the background.

On Apple iPhones, you also have the option to manage the background refresh for the apps installed on your phone. You can turn Background App Refresh off for all apps and individual apps.

How to Enable or Disable Background App Refresh on iPhone?

Apple iPhone gives you the choice to either keep the feature enabled or disabled. Here’s how you can make the changes.

1. Launch the Settings app.

Drawbacks of Background App Refresh
