Book recommendation of the week:  Daughters of the Sun and Moon, by Lisa See. Three Chinese women arrive in Los Angeles in 1870 to a city that hates immigrants and to fates that are very different but intertwined. Based on actual events, including the selling of women into slavery and the 1871 Los Angeles massacre of Chinese immigrants. Warning: this is upsetting. (Amazon, Bookshop)
