We must find way to stop Osimhen – Juventus coach

Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti has said his side will devise a plan to contain Victor Osimhen when they face Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League playoff first leg on Tuesday night at RAMs Park.

Osimhen has been in fine form in Europe this season, scoring six goals in six Champions League appearances.

His strike partner, Mauro Icardi, also heads into the tie in confident mood after netting a hat-trick in Galatasaray’s 4–0 victory over Eyüpspor last weekend.

Spalletti acknowledged the threat posed by the duo and stressed the need to limit their involvement in the game.

“Osimhen and Icardi are very strong footballers, and their characteristics are different. When they play together, they can create problems for the opposition,” Spalletti told reporters at his pre-match press conference.

“As forwards, they both know very well how to behave. One creates chaos, the other knows how to benefit from that chaos.

“They both have extraordinary talent. The solution is to keep them as far away from the ball as possible. Galatasaray’s quality will pose a challenge for us.”
