We are fully focused on Colombia clash – Flying Eagles star

Flying Eagles midfielder Daniel Daga said the team is fully focused on their decisive group-stage clash against Colombia at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Aliyu Zubairu’s men defeated Saudi Arabia 3-2 in their second match on Friday morning, with captain Daniel Bameyi netting a stoppage-time penalty to seal maximum points.

Despite the win, Nigeria sits third in Group C with three points from two games. The seven-time African champions must defeat Colombia in their final group fixture to guarantee a place in the knockout rounds.

Speaking ahead of the match, Daga expressed the squad’s determination to rise to the occasion.

“The next [game] is to play Colombia in the last group game, we [are] hoping to get a victory again so we can go to the next stage,” the Molde of Norway star told FIFA.com.
