We are confident we can still win the EPL – Odegaard

Martin Odegaard has expressed confidence that Arsenal FC can still win the Premier League title, despite their 2-1 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

The loss narrowed Arsenal’s lead at the top of the table to just three points, with City also holding a game in hand.

Speaking after the match, the Gunners captain admitted disappointment but highlighted positives from the team’s performance.

“Disappointed not to win. Obviously we wanted to get a result and we were really up for it today. We played a good game, we pressed really well,” he told Sky Sports.

Odegaard noted that Arsenal created chances, particularly in the second half, but failed to capitalise in key moments.

“Especially in the second half we looked dangerous, big moments in front of goal. Small margins decide a game like this and we weren’t sharp enough, and that’s why we go home with nothing,” he said.

Despite the setback, the Norwegian midfielder insisted the title race remains open and urged his teammates to focus on winning their remaining fixtures.

“There’s always pressure, always noise—that’s part of being a football player at this level. We’ll keep going, stay focused, and look forward to the next game,” he added.

With the race tightening, Arsenal will need a strong finish to hold off Pep Guardiola’s side in the final stretch of the season.
